  2. This blog is absolutely full of ideas and reassurance about self acceptance and coming back to one’s intentions and goals… and .keeping going when not meeting one’s own hopes… a continuing challenge for me, too….probably for everybody…
Jampa…if you arrive here, might you write something about this?…it’s still hard for me too…and it would be helpful to get some ideas….

i personally find that firstly i don’t try to do the impossible, set a reasonable goal for oneself, and try to create the conditions to meet that aim, now the kicker is often even with a positive intention we are unable to achieve our wish, so we should rejoice in what we were able to complete/achieve and start from that point, no need to beat ourselves up over it, after all there are so many external conditioning factors that might come into play.

as well as that, set shorter term goals more often rather than long term goals that are so far away, let go of any expectations that might arise and simply do your best, after all we are humans not perfect so dont be to hard on yourself, rather learn from mistakes or mishaps and move forward.

  4. Dear Jampa, Thank you! These words stood out for me:

“set shorter term goals more often rather than long term goals that are so far away, let go of any expectations that might arise and simply do your best”

Makes sense break the goal in shorter steps and in the present moment. It was starting to become daunting for me to think that I have to meet this goal all year long – as opposed to the short term.

Thank you so again for your kindness in replying, it’s appreciated.
