Yes, it think it’s helpful and positive…although I was reluctant for awhile…it’s good with the positives from the day, but even when there has been a difficult reaction during the day, at least to recognize it…. https://reflectionsfromafriend.wordpress.com/2011/10/23/1024-its-good-that-you-are-able-to-see-your-reactions/ Thanks for your reassurance yesterday…I really appreciated that… (kathy had a reaction to accepting “impermanence” yesterday https://reflectionsfromafriend.wordpress.com/2011/12/16/916-life-changes-appreciate-and-share-what-we-have-now/ ) : ) kathy

Kathy, It’s a good habit to cultivate, to end our day counting our blessings. Sometimes it’s hard when in the midst of a challenge, yet each day has something positive. Just taking a shower, eating a breakfast, watching the sky is a positive. Thanks for this reminder from Jampa. You are blessed to have a monk for your teacher. 🙂

Sometimes when I say…”oh it was a tough day…”…I stop and think about there being some difficult spots but that there were soooooooo many good things that day, too.
And, even though Jampa isn’t a “teacher”, he is a wonderful, nurturing spiritual friend who guides me along…and I do consider myself soooooo fortunate to have met and connected with him….
