5/28/12 It’s better to wait until the reactions has lessened before trying to work on it

 

hmmm….good idea…..
sometimes, a bit hard to do,
but important and helpful  to practice…
a good piece of advice….

  1. Oooh, yes, emotions get in the way of clarity. These wise reminders are good because it trains us to be mindful.

    • I surely agree…emotions sure do get in the way of clarity… and, on PP, hugmamma just decided/commented that I’m “patient”…so the patience to wait for the emotion to subside…and then develop more clarity about what’s going one…ah ha, easy as that! : )

      • One way to wait for the emotion to subside with patience is to learn to be an an obeserver or watcher of our life experience from a detached perspective, without going into the mind and giving ourselves more stories about the situation or whatever. To just watch the emotion of anger or sadness as example and stay with it without resistance until it moves out of our body.

        As a matter of fact, I learned to do this about a year ago as I get would get what I call sudden mini panic feelings, and instead of going further into the fear or try to make it better, I would observe the feeling quietly, and sure enough the feeling would leave my body. I hardly get them now.
