  1. What does Jampa mean by “positive motivations and reinforcement” in relation to unrealistic expectations? Keeping them in check is always a good practice.

  2. Sometimes, I’m a bit “hard” on myself…expecting more of myself than I’m able to do at a particular time and then making it even more difficult by becoming a bit self critical….so he encourages shifting into recognizing and acknowledging ways one is doing well…and to be kinder and to develop more patience with oneself and one’s progress…one step at at time. Sometimes, this is still a bit difficult for me….so that’s why I added it today as a reminder. I’m realizing that avoiding having “expectations” can be helpful…still being motivated, but not with “firm” expectations…. It’s part of some advice from last year, but it’s still helpful. (this quote was part of a longer bit of advice, but I can’t find it in the post lists…the list is getting long!)
Jampa, if you drop by, more ideas are welcome…
Maybe I’ll repost another encouraging one in a few days, too
