Increasing flexibility….within ourselves and with others

another image about increasing a sense of “flexibility”…
by meeting our thoughts, feelings…
ourselves, others and situations…
nurturing and developing kindness, acceptance, understanding and compassion
within ourselves and with others

suncatchers…hanging in several windows in our home…
in the dining area, living room, bedroom and shower door
so pretty and such a precious, light-filled reminder…

  1. After reading your words, I had a thought that had not occurred to me before, that is, we are flexible when we are in harmony not resisting ourselves. Kindness, compassion, nurturing all leads to harmony within the self and therefore we extend it to others. Thinking out loud….

    • Yes, Marie, that’s just what I was trying to express and am trying to nurture…that awareness, being in that state as often as possible… and gently and kindly shifting back into it if/when straying is noticed. …you got it completely…. : )
I made the image into suncatchers last night…and hung them in various windows around our home… gentle and pretty reminders… I just added photos of 2 of the suncatchers to the bottom of this post… I really love this image and reminder.
btw, the background is a photo of a beautiful old tree trunk/stump in a small redwood grove…

      • That’s a beautiful way of reconditioning how we think. Instead of post it notes, you use suncatchers! 🙂

        • 😀 ..the light coming through them/the ideas seems to “do” something…not sure what…but seems to happen….

    • what a great “thinking aloud”. Harmony within, and even harmony of the body, does lead to flexibility, doesn’t it? in so many ways.

      • Isn’t that “thinking aloud” a special way of putting it?…harmony within and of the body too… when I look at that tree grain, it reminds me of dancing….that motion of swaying and flexing…I actually do imagine dancing and do dance that way when I see it….maybe a bit like a sufi dancer….?….. and the idea came from Marie, who goes by “sufilight”… what a wonderful combination! : )

        • Threads we are weaving together. Branches from the same tree? Or rooted in the same soil? Either way, let’s join in the dance, I say
